Taft, July 2002, dtaft@cowtown.net Nancy Jane Fry – Obituary Fennimore Times 24 July 1891 Died Jane Fry At her residence three miles north of Fennimore, Saturday morning, July 18, 1891, Mrs. Jane Fry of old age. The subject of this sketch was born in Mercer County, PA in the year 1822 where she grew up to womanhood receiving a common school education. She was married to Lewis Fry about the year 1841 and with her husband emigrated to Grant County, WI in the year 1852. She was a faithful, kind and loving wife and mother and was highly respected by all who had the pleasure of her acquaintance. She was the mother of ten children, six sons and four daughters. All survive her except one daughter, Mrs. J.W. Allen who died some four months ago, and all, with the aged husband and father mourn her demise. The funeral occurred at 11 o'clock in the morning July 20 from the residence. Rev. Reed conducting the services. The remains were interred in the Prairie Cemetery near this village.
