Funeral services will be held today at two o'clock at the Methodist church, the Rev. G.H. Willett officiating. Civil war veterans will act as a guard of honor. Interment will be in Hillside. Mr. Tuckwood was born in Staffordshire, England, May 18, 1844, being of sturdy English Yeoman stock. Had he lived until today, May 18, he would have reached the age of 83 years. When five years old he came with his parents to this country. The family located first at Janesville, moving to Lancaster in 1855. Mr. Tuckwood farmed in No. Lancaster for many years. In 1893 he located in Lancaster. Deceased was a member of Co. C., 25th Wisconsin. He enlisted in June 1862, and served his country in July, 1865. His wife, nee Eliza Croft, died in 1909. The surviving children are: Mrs. John Rowdon of Fennimore; George of Madison: Frank of Fennimore; Nettie, at home; Chas. of Rhinelander.
