Obituary: Green County, Wisconsin: Frank BROUGHTON, Jr. ************************************************************************ Submitted by Ruth Ann Montgomery, May 2005 © All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************ Frank Broughton, Jr., aged 29 years died Monday morning, May 14, 1906 of a complication of diseases, at his home near Albany. This is one more of those unaccountable dispensations of providence which are a mystery to us all, being the fourth member cut off or taken out of this one family by death within the short period of fourteen months. The mother of Mr. Frank Broughton, Sr., passing away first, then a little later his wife, and the 4th day of this month his grand daughter and now only ten days later his son, father of the little girl who died on the 4th, from whom the father is supposed to have first contracted the measles which so depleted his condition that he became an easy prey to such a complication of diseases as he was unable to rally from and death has taken from us all a very promising young man who but a few days since to all appearances had a long life of usefulness and prosperity before him. It is impossible for us to place in writing or cold type the deep feelings of regret and sympathy which goes out to this bereaved family of wife and small child, father, brother and sister, and other near and dear relatives. May the one whose mysteries are beyond the comprehension of us all be able to console and comfort the living. May 15, 1906, tribune, p. 1, col. 7, Evansville, Wisconsin
