Passed Away.

Mr. Wm. Darkins departed this life after a brief illness at the home of Wm.
Smith, in Brooklyn township, on Thursday, August 2, 1894.

The deceased was born in England in 1816, came to America and settled in
the town of Brooklyn in 1854, where he lived up to his death. He joined the
M. E. church in 1862 and always lived such a christian life as made him a
beloved friend of all who knew him. Mrs. Wm. Bubb, an only child, is left
to mourn.

The funeral was held at the Jug Prairie school house and conducted by Rev.
H. A. Rogers of Albany.
