Obituary: Green County, Wisconsin: Leo DUNPHY ************************************************************************ Submitted by Ruth Ann Montgomery, April 2008 © All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************ LEO DUNPHY FOUND DEAD Killed by Accident While Playing A very sad accident occurred on Monday of this week, resulting in the death of Leo DUNPHY, the twelve year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Mike DUNPHY, residing near this city. The boy had been playing with the hay rope, hanging outside of the barn, and in some unknown manner the rope accidentally became wrapped about him, tieing up his arms and across his neck in such a manner as to choke him. He was last seen by the members of the family about half past ten in the forenoon. He was found about 1:30 o'clock in the afternoon. The entire community sympathizes with the parents and the surviving members of the family. The funeral was held in the Catholic church of Albany yesterday morning, the service being conducted by the Rev. Father Krouse. He is survived by the following brothers and sisters, Mrs. D. F. Finnane, Mrs. Martin Croak, Mrs. Patrick Ryan of this city, Mrs. Edward Moore of Edgerton, Alle, Thomas, Richard, Genevieve, Joe, Frank, Charles and James.
