New Glarus Man Is Killed By Tree

William H. Eichelkraut, prominently known resident of New Glarus township,
was instantly killed by a falling tree which he chopped down on his farm 4
miles west of the village of New Glarus on Friday afternoon. When he did
not return to his home from the timber as customary in time to start the
evening chores, members of the family went to the spot where he was working
to find him lying upon the ground beside a newly felled tree, dead from a
broken neck.
