Obituary: Green County, Wisconsin: Elmer GRETZMAKER ************************************************************************ Submitted by Ruth Ann Montgomery, April 2008 © All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************ LOCAL FARMER FOUND DEAD MONDAY BEHIND WHEEL OF MILK TRUCK Elmer Gretzmaker, 49, a life-long resident of this vicinity and half- brother of Mrs. Lyman Farrell, Evansville, was found dead behind the wheel of his truck near Dayton at 7 p.m. Monday, apparently a victim of apoplexy. He was enroute to his farm home northwest of Evansville after delivering a load of milk to Belleville. Mr. Gretzmaker was born near Brooklyn April 23, 1885 and was married to Miss Lucy Freiday of Dayton on July 26, 1913. Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Raymond Lee, at home; his half-sister, Mrs. Lyman Farrell, this city; one grandchild; and his father and step-mother, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Gretzmaker who reside on a farm in Union township north of the city. Funeral services were held at 1:15 p.m. yesterday in the home and at 2 p.m. in a Belleville church with burial in the Belleville cemetery.
