Many friends were surprised to hear of the death of Alonzo Hilliard, of
Albany, who died at his home at 5 o'clock Tuesday morning, of cancer of the
stomach. Mr. Hilliard was well known in Brodhead and vicinity, and for a
number of years was in the milling business at Oakley. The funeral was held
at the church at Albany, Thursday afternoon, at one o'clock.
