The deceased was born in Norsh Wales May 14, 1834, died Aug. 22, 1905, aged 71 years, 3 months, 8 days; was married to Margaret Hamer in 1856; ten children were born by this union, four sons and six daughters, one son dying in infancy, two died after growing to man and womanhood, seven are left to mourn the los of an affectionate father, two sons and five daughters, namely, John Jarman of Brooklyn, Mary, wife of J. Davis, of Belleville; Sarah, wife of John Wilson (deceased) of Evansville; Maria, wife of M. Smith of Dayotn; T. H. of Ayrshire, Ia.; Addie, wife of W. E. Combs of Evansville; Margaret, wife of A. Edmunds of Albany. Also twelve grandchildren and one great grandchild. In his early days he united with the Baptist church and was a believer in that faith, although of late years had somewhat drifted away, but still died in the faith of God.
