Obituary: Green County, Wisconsin: Alma KEYLOCK ************************************************************************ Submitted by Ruth Ann Montgomery, May 2005 © All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************ Mrs. Alma Keylock who has been in poor health for the past four or five months passed away at her home in Attica, Mar. 30, 1911, aged seventy-seven years. Her maiden name was Anna Elborough. She was born in Cricklade, England, Sept. 29, 1833, where she lived until 1853 when she was united in marriage with Joseph Keylock. They lived in England about two years, coming to Canada in 1855. Two years later they removed from Canada to Attica, Wis. Seven children were born to this union. They are, Henry of Alba, Mo., Anna, who died in infancy; Ed of Reedsburg; George of Evansville; Sarah of Attica; Hubert, who died seven years ago and Jessie of Attica. The father died Sept. 1879, and Mrs. Keylock has since remained on the same farm on which they settled when they came to Attica. Mrs. Keylock was a follower of the Episcopalian faith belong when in England to the Church of England. She was a good Christian woman, striving always to do her duty. She was a loving mother and her aim in life was to keep a home for her children. Besides the five living children left to mourn her loss, there are nine grandchildren, and two great grandchildren, also many friends. The deceased was buried in the cemetery at Attica, April 1, 1911. The funeral sermon was preached by Rev. D. Q. Grabill of the Congregational church of Evansville.
