From the Monroe Journall-Gazette, reprinted in the Evansville Review;

Mr. George Koehner, a prominently known resident of the county the past
thirty years and for a few years a resident of this city, passed away at
two o'clock on Wednesday. He suffered a paralytic stroke two months ago
that confined him almost continuously to home and bed since then. A second
stroke occurred two weeks ago which took away the last vestige of hope for
his recovery.
