Obituary: Green County, Wisconsin: William Fredrick KUEHN ************************************************************************ Submitted by Ruth Ann Montgomery, May 2005 © All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************ Mr. William Fredrick Kuehn was born in Kremzow, Germany, February 9, 1847. He was married to Miss Wilhelmine Wachlin in 1873. This union was blessed with four sons and two daughters of whom one daughter preceeded the father to the beyond several years ago. In 1874 Mr. and Mrs. Kuehn emigrated to this country and settled in the town of Sylvester, Wis. He has always been engaed in farming in this section of the state where Mr. Kuehn won many friends and became a member of the Evangelical church to which faith he remained true until his departure. He became a sufferer about six years ago. He consulted different physicians and visited the Mlwaukee hospital, but his case was stubborn to all. July 7, he was called hence at the age of 67 years, 4 months and 28 days, leaving bereaved wife, four sons, Gustave in the town of Magnolia, William and Frank in the town of Brooklyn, Edward of Attica, and one daughter, Mrs. John Klitzman in the town of Exeter where Mr. and Mrs. Kuehn had made their home the last month, and where he departed this life. Eleven grandchildren, two sisters and one brother, August of this city and a host of friends survive him. The funeral services were held in the Friedens Evangelical church, Thursday afternoon, July 9, where many relatives and friends from nearby and far away met to pay the last tribute to a friend. Interment was made in the cemetery adjoining the church with the Rev. G. E. Zellmer officiating, and four sons acting as pall bearers.
