Obituary: Green County, Wisconsin: Elliott Eugene PURINTON ************************************************************************ Submitted by Ruth Ann Montgomery, May 2005 © All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************ Elliott Eugene Purinton died at his home on Sandy Hook, eight miles west of here Monday afternoon, after an illness from cancer of more than four year's duration. He was born November 19, 1854 in the town of Brooklyn and died there August 3, 1914, aged 59 years, 8 months and 14 days. He was married April 12, 1881 to Louise Emily Bubb who survives him. Four children were born to them, one of whom, Homer, died at the age of fifteen months. Mrs. Lenore Trow, Carrie and Burdette survive him. He also leaves three grandchildren, five brothers, Seymour of this city, Chil of Sandy Hook, Talbert of Ainslee, Neb., Hiram of Spring Brook, S. D., and Leander fo Brookfield, Mo., and one sister, Bertha Ingalls of Beloit, besides a large number of other relatives and a host of friends. He has been a constant sufferer for more than four years, having spent part of this time seeking relief in hospitals. He was always cheerful and one who bore his suffering with great fortitude.
