On Thursday evening at 9 o'clock, death claimed Miss Harriet E. Qualley, of
this village, after an illness of many years. She was born in the town of
Exeter, April 7, 1879, and has lived in and near the village of Attica ever
since. She was confirmed in the Lutheran church at an early age, but later
affiliated with the Methodists. For the past five years she has operated a
store at Attica, where she has made hosts of friends who will miss her.
There remain surviving her, her mother, two sisters and one brother. The
funeral was held at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the church, Rev. Pengilly
preaching the sermon.
