Obituary: Green County, Wisconsin: John SWANCUTT ************************************************************************ Submitted by Ruth Ann Montgomery, April 2008 © All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************ John Swancutt John Swancutt, who died at Mercy Hospital, Janesville, where he had been taken as a result of a kick received from a horse, last Saturday died Monday. Mr. Swancutt was one of the oldest settlers of this locality, he having been born near Albany, 75 years ago most of his life spent near this city, where he made his home for many years, having in 1879 married Miss Juda Butts. To this union two daughters were born, one dying in infancy and the other Luella being still at home. He is usrvived by his widow and the one daughter. The funeral was held Wednesday at the home, funeral services being conducted by the Rev. G. C. Saunderson of the M. E. Church, of this city, burial being made in the English Settlement cemetery.
