THIRTY-THIRD DISTRICT.

Washington and Waukesha counties. Population, 1895—60,639.

STEPHAN F. MAYER (Dem.), of West Bend, was born in West Bend, February 1, 1854. 
He was educated in the common schools and took a commercial course at the 
university of Notre Dame, Indiana. He has resided all his life at West Bend, 
where he is engaged in business as a brewer and malster. He was elected county 
treasurer without opposition in 1886 and in 1888; has been a member of the 
county board since 1891, and was chairman in 1893, and was elected chairman of 
the board this year; also a member of the school board of his city. He was 
elected to the state senate in 1894, without opposition, receiving 6,095 votes.
