HERMAN BJORN DAHLE (Rep.), of Mount Horeb, Dane County, was born March 30, 1855, in the town of Perry, Dane County, Wis.; received his education in the district schools of this native town and in the University of Wisconsin. He resided at Mount Vernon from August, 1877, to March, 1888, where he conducted a general mercantile business, in which his is still interested, and is also the principal owner of the Mount Horeb bank. He was elected to congress in 1898, and again in 1900 by 22,175 votes against 18,819 for John A. Aylward (Dem.), and 1,010 for L. T. Davis (Pro.)
