They are chosen biennially and receive $500 for their service during the term. The Speaker Is chosen by the members and receives an additional $500 for his services as Speaker. HERMAN J. POMRENING (Rep.), of Milwaukee, was educated in the Milwaukee public schools and is In the restaurant business, which he has conducted during the last ten years. Prior thereto he was employed many years in the claims department of the C., M. & St. P. Railway company. He was elected to the assembly by 1,805 votes, against 1,551 for Adam J. Knapp (Dem.), and 343 for Fred Schoen (Soc. Dem.).
