They are chosen biennially and receive $500 for their service during the term. The Speaker Is chosen by the members and receives an additional $500 for his services as Speaker. The Assembly of 1901 contains 82 Republicans and 18 Democrats. EAU CLAIRE-Second District. The towns of Bridge Creek, Brunswick (including Porters Mills village), Clear Creek, Drammen, Fairchild, Lincoln, Ludington, Otter Creek, Pleasant Valley, Union and Washington, and the village of Fairchild and the city of Augusta, 1111d the 4th and 7th wards of the city of Eau Claire. SILKWORTH (Rep.), of Osseo, was born in Eau Claire county, Oct. 26, 1662, and was educated in the schools at Osseo and Augusta, Wis., and Minneapolis, Minn. He has been chairman of the town board and school treasurer of the town of Otter Creek. He was elected to the assembly in 1900 by 2,137 votes, against 1,063 cast for Frank Blaisdell (Dem.).
