ASSEMBLYMEN.

GEO. H. RAY, Speaker; W. A. NOWELL, Chief Clerk; A. M. ANDERSON,
Sergeant-at-Arms.

The Assembly consists of 100 members. They are chosen biennially and
receive $500 for their service during the term. The Speaker Is chosen
by the members and receives an additional $500 for his services as
Speaker. The Assembly of 1901 contains 82 Republicans and 18
Democrats.

MILWAUKEE-Fourth District. The 15th and 16th wards of the city of
Milwaukee. Population in 1900-22,346. (Unchanged by apportionment of
1901.)

AUGUST ZINN (Rep.), 2619 Prairie St., Milwaukee, was born April 23,
1859, in Milwaukee, and was educated in the public school of the
second ward, His business is that of a wholesale jeweler, and he has
always made Milwaukee his home. He was elected to the assembly in
1898, and in 1900 was re-elected by 2,865 votes, against 1,930 for Max
W. Noll (Dem.), and 216 for Carl Barkman (Soc.-Dem.).
