They are chosen biennially and receive $500 for their service during the term. The Speaker Is chosen by the members and receives an additional $500 for his services as Speaker. The Assembly of 1901 contains 82 Republicans and 18 Democrats. MILWAUKEE-Fourth District. The 15th and 16th wards of the city of Milwaukee. Population in 1900-22,346. AUGUST ZINN (Rep.), 2619 Prairie St., Milwaukee, was born April 23, 1859, in Milwaukee, and was educated in the public school of the second ward, His business is that of a wholesale jeweler, and he has always made Milwaukee his home. He was elected to the assembly in 1898, and in 1900 was re-elected by 2,865 votes, against 1,930 for Max W. Noll (Dem.), and 216 for Carl Barkman (Soc.-Dem.).
