ASSEMBLYMEN. IRVINE L. LENROOT, Speaker; C. 0. MARSH, Chief Clerk; A. M. Anderson, Sergeant-at-Arms. The assembly consists of 100 members. They are chosen biennially and receive $500 for their service during the term. The speaker is chosen by the members and receives an additional $500 for his services as speaker. The assembly of 1003 contains 75 republicans and 25 democrats. CRAWFORD COUNTY. One District. Population. 1900—17,280. JAMES DINSDALE (Rep.) was bom in Yorkshire, England, November 18, 1848; came with bis parents to America in 1849, settling in Grant county: taught school a short time and entered tne State University; he graduated at Lawrence University in 1875; graduated at Bush Medical College in 1S78, and began practicing medicine in Soldiers Grove the same year; has held various town offices and was chairman of the county board of Crawford county one year: was president of the village of Soldiers Grove three years; member of the board of pension examiners ten years: was elected member of assembly in 1902, receiving 1,808 votes against 1,174 for Thomas Taylor (Dem.).
