ASSEMBLYMEN. IRVINE L. LENROOT, Speaker; C. 0. MARSH, Chief Clerk; A. M. Anderson, Sergeant-at-Arms. The assembly consists of 100 members. They are chosen biennially and receive $500 for their service during the term. The speaker is chosen by the members and receives an additional $500 for his services as speaker. The assembly of 1003 contains 75 republicans and 25 democrats. DANE COUNTY. Third District. The towns of Berry, Black Earth, Blue Mounds, Cross Plains, Dane, Fitchburg, Mazomanie, Middleton, Montrose, Oregon, Berry, Primrose, Roxbury, Rutland, Springdale, Springfield, Vermont, Verona and Vienna, the villages of Black Earth, Dane, Oregon, Mazomanie, Belleville, and Mount Horeb. Population, 1900 22,467. JOHN S. DONALD, of Mt. Horeb, was born on the farm where he now resides, January 12th, 1S69. His education was continued from the district school to the Northwestern Business College of Madison, from which he graduated in 1887. In 1894 he received the degree of B. S. at the Northern, Business College of Valparaiso and in 1897 the degree of D. D. S. at the Chicago College. In 1892 he served as assessor of his town (Springdale) and was chairman of the board of supervisors from 1899 to 1902. He was elected to the assembly in 1902, receiving 2,174 votes to 1,050 for Edson B. Jackson (Dem.). Additional Comments: The Blue Book of the State of Wisconsin.
