ASSEMBLYMEN. IRVINE L. LENROOT, Speaker; C. 0. MARSH, Chief Clerk; A. M. Anderson, Sergeant-at-Arms. The assembly consists of 100 members. They are chosen biennially and receive $500 for their service during the term. The speaker is chosen by the members and receives an additional $500 for his services as speaker. The assembly of 1003 contains 75 republicans and 25 democrats. BUFFALO AND PEPIN COUNTIES. One District. Population, 1900—24,670. CHARLES W. GILMAN (Rep.), of Mondovi, Buffalo county, was born at Gilmanton, Buffalo county, Oct. 26, 1862. He attended the public schools, the Madison high school, graduated at the State University June 24, 1885, and from the law department of the same institution June 23, 1886; is a lawyer by occupation; was district attorney for Buffalo county for six years, and is the present mayor of the city of Mondovi. He was elected member of the assembly In 1900 and again In 1902, receiving 1,948 votes against 1,053 votes for C. M. Hillard (Dem ). Additional Comments: The Blue Book of the State of Wisconsin.
