THE WISCONSIN LEGISLATURE. SENATE. The senate is composed of thirty-three members, who hold office for four years and receive $500 each for their services at each regular session. Members of the senate, session of 1903, representing odd-numbered districts, were elected in 1902, Their terms will end Jan. 1, 1907. Those representing even-numbered districts were elected in 1900. Their terms will end Jan. 1, 1905. The lieutenant-governor is president of the senate, but can vote only in case of a tie. A temporary president, to act in the absence of the president, is chosen by the members of the senate. The senate of 1903 contains 3O Republicans and 3 Democrats. Lieutenant-Governor James O. Davidson, president; James J. McGillivray, president pro tern.; Theo. W. Goldin, chief clerk; Sanfield Macdonald, sergeant-at-arms. TWENTIETH SENATORIAL DISTRICT. Ozaukee and Sheboygan counties. Population, 1900—66,708. GEORGE W. WOLFF (Rep.), of Rhine, Wisconsin, was born In the town of Rhine, Sheboygan county, April 7, 1849, and has since resided there. He received a common school education, and has always followed the occupation farmer. He has served as chairman of his town and county boards for several years, and as a member of the assembly for the years 1895 and 1897, and was elected to the state senate in 1900, receiving 7,229 votes against 6,154 for H. D. Bolens (Dem.), and 820 votes for H. J. Brecht (Soc. Dem.). Additional Comments: The Blue Book of the State of Wisconsin.
