MEMBERS OF THE FIFTY-EIGHTH CONGRESS. UNIVERSITY DEPARTMENT HEADS. VICE-PRESIDENT OF THE UNIVERSITY. HARRY SANGER RICHARDS, Dean of the College of Law. Born in Olceola, Clarke county, Iowa, November 20th, 1868. Attended the public schools; graduated from the Academic Department of Parsons College, Fairfield, Iowa, in 1888; graduated from the College of Liberal Arts of the State University of Iowa, to 1892, with the degree of Bachelor of Philosophy; graduated from the Law School of Harvard University in 1895, with the degree of Bachelor of Laws; served as clerk in the office of Horatio D. Wood during the year 1898 located for the practice of law at Ottumwa, Iowa, in 1897; was elected Professor of Law in the Law Department of the State University of Iowa in 1898; was elected Dean of the College of Law, University of Wisconsin, in June, 1908. Was granted the degree of Doctor of Laws by the State University of Iown In June, 1904. Member of Phi Beta Kappa and legal fraternity, Phi Delta Phi Member of the American Bar Association and of the Executive Committee of the Association of American Law Schools.
