SHEBOYGAN COUNTY First District. The city of Sheboygan. JACOB JUNG (Rep.) was born Jan. 11, 1857, in the city of Sheboygan. He received a Lutheran parochial and Sheboygan high school education. He learned the carriage and wagon makers trade and worked 14 years at the bench. He then bought out his father's business, and operated it for 30 years as the Jung Carriage Company. In 1888 he branched out in the mercantile business and became one of the founders of the J. and W. Jung Company operating a department store in which he is at present engaged with two of his sons. He has never before held public office. He was elected to the assembly in November, 1922, receiving 3,747 votes to 2,173 votes for Ernest Kreuter (Soc). Additional Comments: The Wisconsin Blue Book.
