POLK COUNTY GEORGE A. NELSON (Rep.) was born in Milltown, Polk county, Noy. 15, 1873. He was educated in the common schools, worked at farming, lumbering and milling for the most part, but also at various other occupations in 38 states and Canada. He spent three years in Alaska gold mining and served as a deep water sailor and also on river steamers before returning to his farm in Polk county. He has always been foremost in the ranks of co-operation. At present he is president of the Wisconsin Co- operative Creamery Company and of the American Society of Equity.
