DOOR COUNTY JOHN PELTIER (Rep.) was born in Michigan, January 30, 1860, and was educated in the common schools. He is both a successful dairy farmer and commercial fisherman, having been engaged in the latter occupation for forty years. He has made a deep study of the different species of fish caught in Green Bay and Lake Michigan and is considered one of the best posted men in the state on that subject, and served as president and general organizer of the State Fishermen's Association of Wisconsin. He served as town chairman from 1907 to 1915 and during, the World war served as solicitor for the sale of bonds and in the Red Cross, Y. M. C. A. and other campaigns.
