DETTINGER (Prog. Rep.) was born in the Town of Northfield, Jackson County, on Sptember 24, 1880. He was educated in the common schools and in the Short Course of the College Of Agriculture, University of Wisconsin. Except for five years with the Armour Packing Company, he has always lived on a farm. He was president of the York Creamery Association, Northfield, tor three years; town supervisor from 1912 to 1915; and town chairman from 1915 to 1918. Mr. Dettinger is a successful farmer, specializing in purebred Guernsey cattle and seed grain. He is serving his sixth term in the Assembly, having been a member from 1919 to 1925 and from 1931 to the present time.
