Of Wis. At Platteville Written: April 25, 1839 Territory of Wisconsin, County of Iowa, District court, term 183_ The United States of America. To the Sheriff of the county, greeting. Whereas, at a District Court for said county begun and held at the courthouse in Mineral Point in said county on the 25th April, in the year 1839, a certain Armistead W. Floyd and Thomas J. Parish, late of said county, in an action of trespass by the judgment of the said court, recovered against a certain THOMAS HOLMES, the sum of $12.18 and ¾, their costs and charges by them, about their said suit in this behalf appended, as of record is manifest: therefore you are hereby commanded, that of the goods and chattels, lands and tenements (except such as are by law exempt) of the said THOMAS HOLMES, you cause to be made the _____ charges and costs aforesaid and have you those sums before said court at the Clerk’s Office in Mineral Point in 90 days from the date hereof to render unto the said Armistead W. Floyd and Thomas J. Parish, the costs and charges aforesaid. Hereof fail not, and have you then there, this writ, with your doings thereon.
