All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/wi/wifiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Nancy Poquette npoq@hotmail.com December 31, 2006, 5:48 am Pension Medical Records General Affidavit “In the matter of the claim for a pension of Robert Tyrer…on this 6th day of March, 1891, Robert Tyrer, aged 46 years, a resident of Minneapolis, Minnesota…declared in relation to aforesaid case as follows: “On July 12th, 1888, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, in starting a new metallic shingle press, the clutch on the press broke, catching both of my hands, resulting in loss of thumb and stiff forefinger, and crippling of the middle and ring fingers of my left hand, and loss of the first finger at the first joint of my right hand.” In his Declaration for Original Disability Pension, July 7, 1890, Robert Tyrer called his occupation ‘stationary engineer.’ “At Columbus, Kentucky in June 1863, while in service of the U. S, I lost the sight of my right eye from a piece of a cap flying from my gun and striking me in the eye.
