Parry, Solomon Richards, William D. James, William Smith, John H. Cornish, John East, James Mitchell, Peter Mathews, and others, purchasers of Gibson’s Improved Fence, in Dodgeville Township: “You are requested to meet at the Western Hotel on Saturday, Dec. 15, at 3 pm for the purpose of organizing a club, and making necessary arrangements for selling the balance of the Township. Mr. Gibson, the patentee, will be there, and wishes you all to attend, as it will be to your interest. William Gibson.” “Gibson’s Portable Fence. We have been shown a model of Gibson’s Patent Portable or Permanent fence, and in our opinion it is fully up to the claims of its proprietors. It is cheap, durable, easily built, easily removed, can be used for hilly, as well as level ground. It has never been introduced in this part before, and is taking very rapidly, every farmer seeing its advantages immediately. Mr. Gibson is selling farm, town and county rights. He has sold the right for this town and is now engaged in other parts of the county. A notice will be found elsewhere in this issue, calling a meeting of those who have purchased farm rights in this town.” Dodgeville Chronicle, Thursday morning, December 20, 1866: “Wm.
