Mineral Point Tribune and Iowa County Democrat
Mineral Point Tribune and Iowa County Democrat, July 16, 1896: Mrs. Louisa J.
[Poquette], wife of Thomas Mitchell, died at her home 3 miles north of Mineral 
Point, Tuesday evening, July 14, after a protracted illness; aged 42 years and 
one month. The funeral took place from the house this Thursday afternoon at 1 
o’clock, with services at the M. E. Church in this city.”
