Sick for Over a Year. Death not Unexpected— Had Lived in Beloit Five Years, Making His Home in Woodward Ave—Leaves Ten Children. “John Henry Poquette, after an illness extending over a year, during the last 6 weeks of which he had been confined to his bed, passed away last evening at 7:15 o’clock at the age of 57 years.” “Mr. Poquette’s death was not unexpected, as the family had known for a week that there was no hope for his recovery. He was troubled with a complication of diseases.” “Mr. Poquette had lived in Beloit with his family for 5 years, making his home at 1014 Woodward Avenue. He was born near Mineral Point where he still has relatives living.” “Deceased is survived by his wife and ten children, eight daughters and two sons. They are Mrs. A. G. Taylor of Sylvania, O., Mrs. A. W. Ballantine and Mrs. C. A. Anderson of St. Louis; Mrs. A. D. Redford and Mrs. G. B. Argo of Beloit, and the Misses Marie, Anna, and Agnes of Beloit; Arthur and Lewis, also of this city.
