Buried in White Church Cemetery, Barneveld, Iowa, WI. Obituary typed as written: DODGEVILLE CHRONICLE - JUNE 11, 1925 Daniel A. THOMAS passed away at Eethesda Hospital at Dodgeville on Sunday, May 31, 1925. The deceased was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. George THOMAS and was born in the town of Ridgeway now Brigham, on May 12, 1863, he received his education in the country school and while a young man united with the Congregational church. On Dec. 24, 1891 he was united in marriage with Miss Annie JONES, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David R. JONES, and they went at once to farming west of the town. Twenty nine years ago they moved to a farm, which they owned at the time of his decease and last March rented the farm and moved to town. There were born to this union six children, two of whom died in infancy. For several years Mr. THOMAS had not been in good health, but none of his family or friends realized, there was any immediate danger, until a few days before his death. On Monday he attended a funeral of Fred THONI and during the evening was stricken sick and gradually grow worse and on Tuesday, collapsed into unconsciousness. On Wednesday he was taken to the hospital in hopes that treatment would restore him, but he passed away as stated above. At the time of his death he was aged 62 years 19 days. He was procecced in death by three brothers, Daniel Webster THOMAS, David R. THOMAS of Barneveld and William THOMAS of Cumberland, also two sisters, Mrs. Lewis JONES of Barneveld and Mrs. Robert GRIFFITHS of Dodgeville, he is survived by his wife, three sons, Stanley, Foster and Warren and a daughter Amelia all of Barneveld. One grandson Robert Warren THOMAS and four brothers, Thomas F. THOMAS, of Grand Marias, Minn., John G. THOMAS of Dodgeville, Joe THOMAS of Sioux City, Iowa, and George THOMAS of Minneapolis. The body was brought to his late home Monday morning, where it rested until Tuesday afternoon. Short services were held at the home and later at the Community Church conducted by the pastor Rev. Dan ROBERTS. Interment took place at the White Church cemetery, the Modern Woodmen burial service being used at the grave. The services at the house and the grave were attended by a large number of relatives and friends. Our community mourns with the THOMAS family in their bereavement.
