Wife of J.W. BERNARD

Obit from the Dodgeville Chronicle, Dodgeville, Iowa Co.,
Wi. Friday 21 Jan 1916:

Mrs. Jane Bernard, relict of James Bernard, died at her
home near Tower Hill on Friday, Jan 14, aged 70 years.
Deceased was an invalid for many years and was a patient
sufferer until the last. Funeral services were held on
Sunday afternoon at the home, Elder Perry of Aurora, Ill.,
officiating and interment in the Tower Hill cemetery by
the side of her husband who died about 20 years ago. She
leaves to mourn her death four foster children and many
relatives and friends who always got a good motherly
advice from "aunt Jane" who was always anxious and ready
to "pluck a thorn and plant a rose" whenever the
opportunity presentd itself.
