Oct 27, 1949 - Apr 27, 2005 Berg, Dennis Ralph BARNEVELD -Dennis Ralph Berg, age 55, of Barneveld, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 22, 2005, at the Don and Marilyn Anderson HospiceCare Center in Madison, after complications of pneumonia. He was born on Oct. 17, 1949, in Stoughton, a son of Hector and Vera Berg. Denny was a recent resident of Orchard Manor in Lancaster and previously worked for 32 years at the Hodan Center and 15 years at Dairy Queen in Mineral Point. Denny was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed watching and rooting for his beloved Packers and Badgers. He especially enjoyed attending Brewer games and sports events in which his nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews participated. Denny always had a quick smile, clever mind, friendly and outgoing personality with a flair for music, dance and good times with his many friends and family. Denny is survived by his sister, Donna (Jack) Thompson of Oxford; his nephews, Jeff (Carolyn Nelson) Segebrecht, Mike (Mary) Segebrecht, Steve (Deb) Segebrecht, all of Barneveld; his nieces, Susie (Mike) Bender of Rio and Kathy (Dan) Storhoff of Lodi; his great nephews, Terry, Nic, Wes and Justin Segebrecht, Michael and Brett Bender, Brady and Brandon Storhoff; great nieces, Rachel (Leo) Doescher, Karla and Ashley Segebrecht, Brittany Storhoff and Jamie Bender; great-great-nieces and nephews, Alyssa, Lucas, Macy and Reece Doescher, Jadon Wagabaza and Nathan Segebrecht; special and caring friends, Dorinda Segebrecht, Rosemary Doescher, Tom Schraeder and John Greenwood. Denny was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Jacquelyn (Kenneth) McDonald. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 26, 2005, at the funeral home. Father Donald Lange will officiate. Burial will be held in St. Bridget's Cemetery in Ridgeway. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Monday and from 10 a.m. until the time of services on Monday at the funeral home.
