ELLIS, Kathryn E.
29 Oct 1913- 10 Apr 2004
Ellis, Kathryn E. CROSS PLAINS -Kathryn E. Ellis, age 90, of
Cross Plains, died on Saturday, April 10, 2004, at Girlie's
Manor in Cross Plains. She was born on Oct. 29, 1913, a
daughter of the late Willy and Lena Ellis. Kathryn spent 23
years at the Girlie Manor and was a friend of Anne "Girlie"
Stein, the founder of the Manor. She is survived by many
devoted nieces and nephews. Kathryn was preceded in death by
her parents; her sisters, Mary Lease, Nellie Ott, Isabelle
Dodge and Jessie Willadsen; and a brother, Neilus Kiley.
Family may gather at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 13, 2004, at
the GORGEN-MCGINLEY & AYERS FUNERAL HOME, Dodgeville. Burial
will be held in St. Bridget's Cemetery in Ridgeway. The family
would like to thank the employees of the manor for their
kindness through the years and thanks also to HospiceCare. In
lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to
HospiceCare Inc., 5395 E. Cheryl Parkway, Madison, WI 53711.
