Erfurth, Mary "Irene" SUN PRAIRIE - Mary "Irene" Erfurth, age 68, died
Feb. 28, 2003, at home after a courageous battle with cancer for over
three years. She was born April 3, 1934, in Dodgeville, the daughter
of John C. and Nora I. McSherry. She married Kenneth A. Erfurth on
Jan. 23, 1954. She was employed for 39 years with the State of
Wisconsin Department of Corrections and worked at the Wisconsin
Cheeseman for 24 years during the Christmas season. She was a member
of Sacred Hearts Catholic Church, Sun Prairie. Survivors include her
husband, Kenneth; two sons Vincent (Audrey) of Waunakee and Steve of
Sun Prairie; four brothers, John (Sally) McSherry of Ridgeway, Tom
McSherry of Paoli, Patrick (Vicky) of Waunakee and Michael McSherry of
Waunakee; a grandchild, Amy Erfurth; 18 nieces and nephews which were
like her own grandchildren. Irene enjoyed traveling, wining and dining
with family and friends, her walking group and reading. Irene gave a
lot of time to her family which gave us all a better life. The family
would like to thank Dr. Michael Frontiera and Dr. Albert Musa and the
staff at HospiceCare for all the care they gave us. A Mass of
Christian Burial will be held Monday, March 3, 2003, at 11 a.m. at
SACRED HEARTS CATHOLIC CHURCH, Monsignor Duane Moellenberndt will
officiate. Burial will be at 3 p.m. Monday at St. Bridget's Cemetery,
Ridgeway, Wis. A visitation will be held Sunday, March 2, 2003, from 5
p.m. until 8 p.m. at the CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 1310 Emerald Terrace, Sun
Prairie., ,
