Nee LEASE 20 Feb 1925- 15 Apr 2003 Haga, Lorraine M. RIDGEWAY - Lorraine Haga, age 78, of Ridgeway, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 15, 2003, at Upland Hills Nursing and Rehab Center, Dodgeville. She was born on Feb. 20, 1925, the daughter of Edward and Mary (Kiley) Lease. She graduated from Ridgeway High School and on July 8, 1943, married Bill Haga of Rothsay, Minn., who was a member of the U.S. Air Force. Lorraine, Bill and their children traveled and lived in Japan, Guam, Germany and different bases in the United States, returning to Ridgeway after Bill's retirement in 1972. Lorraine's love of music was shared with others through her beautiful voice. Bill and Lorraine loved to dance and passed this love on to their children. Lorraine was an important member of the Christian community as well as St. Bridget's Parish in Ridgeway. She taught religious education classes for a number of years, and was a member of the Ladies Altar Society, the Women's Legion Auxiliary, and the NCO Wives Club. Over the years Lorraine owned and operated Haga's Hodgepodge, and also worked for Bloomfield Manor and Meriter Hospital. She made countless wedding cakes that she contributed as her gift to many lucky couples, and spent several years volunteering her services wherever she could. Lorraine spent her life in compassionate service to others and touched many lives with her beautiful smile and giving nature, but her greatest rewards were as wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Lorraine is survived by her loving children, Bill (Nancy) Haga of Neenah, Mary Lucker of Tucson, Ariz., Larry (Jean) Haga of Brookfield, Ginny (Brian) Lindauer of Dodgeville, Pat (Connie) Haga of Mount Horeb, Michael Haga of Ridgeway, Jackie (Alan) Ladd of Dodgeville, and Anne (Rod) Robertson of Kelly Lake, Minn.; 25 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; her brothers, Gary (Diane) Lease, Donald (Avis) Lease, Bernard (Doris) Lease and Raymond (Margie) Lease; her sisters, Virginia Lease, Betty (Tucky) Sawle and Averill (Ray) Harris; sister-in-law, Roberta Lease; countless nieces, nephews, cousins, and relatives and friends all over the world. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Bill, on Sept. 22, 1986; her parents; her brother, Edward, and his wife, Virginia; her brother, David; her sister, Dolores, and her husband, Bob; and her daughter-in-law, Diana. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 22, 2003, at ST. BRIDGET'S CATHOLIC CHURCH, Ridgeway. Father Donald Lange will officiate. Burial will be in St. Bridget's Cemetery.
