Obit is from the Capital Times, Madison, Dane Co., Wi.
Richgels, Loraine V. MADISON - Loraine V. Richgels, age 96, of
Madison, died on Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2004 at Ingleside Nursing Home,
Mount Horeb. She was born on April 26, 1908, in Barneveld, the
daughter of Patrick and Ellen (Shea) Leary. Loraine was a Madison
resident for more than 75 years. She worked for the Fanny May Candy
Company and the for Manchester's Department Store for 26 years. She
was a member of St. Raphael's Cathedral, Madison. Loraine is survived
by her son, John P. (Dottie) Thompson of Carmichael, Calif.; three
granddaughters, Lyn M. (Stan) Cramer, Joan R. (Paul) Casper and Kay A.
Dow; six great-grandchildren, Tiffany, Zach, Tom, Jenna, Heather and
Holly; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by
her husbands, John P. Thompson and Wilbur Richgels; her parents; four
brothers; and three sisters. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held
at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 28, 2004, at ST. RAPHAEL'S CATHEDRAL,
222 W. Main St., with Monsignor Paul Swain officiating. Burial will
follow at St. Bridget Cemetery, Ridgeway. Visitation will be held from
9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the church on Saturday. The
family wishes to thank the staff at Ingleside Nursing Home. In lieu of
flowers, memorials may be made to St. Raphael's Cathedral, or
