From the Wisconsin State Journal, Madison, Dane Co., Wi. Wed 26 Jul 1989 CARROLL, Patricia "Trish" CLYDE- Patricia "Trish" Carrol, age 93, of Clyde, died on monday, July 24, 1989, at the Greenway manor Nursing Home in Spring Green after and extended illness. She was born on March 19, 1896, in the town of Clyde, to Patrick and Margaret (Pollard) Shelton. She married Thomas Carroll in 1921. She owned and operated the Clyde Store and Filling Station for 55 years. She was a member of St. Malachi Catholic Church in Clyde and the Lone Rock American Legion Auxiliary. She was well-known as a very avid card player. she is survived by a son, Pat (Jean) Carroll of Clyde; a daughter, Geraldine (Ted) Price of Lone Rock; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a sister-in-law, Nell Shelton of Avoca. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Tom in 1971; her husband, Thomas in 1933; a daughter in infancy; and six brothers. Funeral services will be held at St. Malachi Catholic Church, in Clyde, at 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, July 27. Father Kenneth Klubertanz will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
