The Dodgeville Chronicle, Dodgeville, Iowa Co., Wi. Thur. 24 Aug 1922 OBITUARY-QUINN (Avoca correspondence) Mary Ellen Quinn was born in Lowell, Mass., October 20, 1856, and passed tp her reward at her home in Avoca Wednesday, August 16, 1922, after a short illness. She was well known in this community, where her sweet, quiet character was felt as well as seen by all who knew her. Her funeral took place Friday morning from St. Joseph's Church of which she was a devout member. Requiem high mass was celevrated and a fine sermon by Rev. Fr. Kenney, her pastor, was preached. She was laid to rest in St. Malachi's cemetery at Clyde. She leaves to mourn her loss, a brother-John of St. Paul, and three sisters-Mrs. Rose Conners and Miss Theresa of Avoca, and Mrs. Lucy Reuter of Bear Creek, all of whom were at her bedside when death came, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
