Written: 1880 In the name of God, Amen. I, Louis Poquette of the town of Linden, County of Iowa, and state of Wisconsin; Being of sound, disposing mind and memory and understanding, blessed be almighty God for the same, and considering the uncertainties of this mortal life, do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following; that is to say: 1st-I will and direct that all my just debts and funeral expenses be fully paid as soon as conveniently may be after my decease; 2nd-After the payment of all my just debts and funeral expenses, I direct and bequeath unto my beloved wife, Jane Selina Poquette, all of my real estate more particularly described as the NE quarter of the SE quarter of Section #12, township 5, range #2, east of the 4th principle meridian, and also all my personal property, goods, and chattels during the time that she bears my name; 3rd-After the death of my beloved wife, Jane Selina Poquette, or should she again marry, I give, devise, and bequeath unto my beloved children: Sarah Josephine Poquette, John H. Poquette, Louisa Jane Poquette, Louis Poquette, Joseph Leonard Poquette, George W. Poquette and Roselia Sophia Poquette, all of the real estate and personal property, goods and chattels that may be left after her decease or marriage, as may be, in equal proportions. I hereby appoint my beloved wife, Jane Selina Poquette my sole executor of this, my last will and testament, and I hereby revoke all former wills by me made. In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and seal, this 18th day of October in the year of our Lord, 1880.
