In the name of God, Amen. I, Louis Poquette of the town of Linden, County of Iowa, and state of Wisconsin; Being of sound, disposing mind and memory and understanding, blessed be almighty God for the same, and considering the uncertainties of this mortal life, do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following; that is to say: 1st-I will and direct that all my just debts and funeral expenses be fully paid as soon as conveniently may be after my decease; 2nd-After the payment of all my just debts and funeral expenses, I direct and bequeath unto my beloved wife, Jane Selina Poquette, all of my real estate more particularly described as the NE quarter of the SE quarter of Section #12, township 5, range #2, east of the 4th principle meridian, and also all my personal property, goods, and chattels during the time that she bears my name; 3rd-After the death of my beloved wife, Jane Selina Poquette, or should she again marry, I give, devise, and bequeath unto my beloved children: Sarah Josephine Poquette, John H. Poquette, Louisa Jane Poquette, Louis Poquette, Joseph Leonard Poquette, George W. Poquette and Roselia Sophia Poquette, all of the real estate and personal property, goods and chattels that may be left after her decease or marriage, as may be, in equal proportions. I hereby appoint my beloved wife, Jane Selina Poquette my sole executor of this, my last will and testament, and I hereby revoke all former wills by me made. In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and seal, this 18th day of October in the year of our Lord, 1880. Louis (his mark) Poquette The foregoing instrument consisting of one sheet of paper was now here signed and sealed by Louis Poquette, the testator in the presence of each of us and was at the same time published and declared by him to be his last will and testament and we, at his request, and in his presence, and in the presence of each other, have severally subscribed our names hereto as attesting witnesses. Signed, John Tregoning, William H. Penhallagon Received April 15th, 1881 at 6 ˝ o’clock pm In Probate, Iowa County Court In the matter of the last will and testament Louis Poquette, deceased. At a probate court held in and for the County of Iowa, at the probate office in the village of Dodgeville on the 12th day of April, 1881, present Honorable John T. Jones, county Judge. Pursuant to order of this court, made in said matter on the 23rd day of February, 1881, the application of Jane S. Poquette, praying that the last will and testament of Louis Poquette, who departed this life on the 18th day of November, 1880 at the town of Linden in the County of Iowa, may be proved and admitted to probate, came on this day to be heard. Satisfactory proof of the due publication of the notice required by said order to be given to all persons interested, of the time and place of hearing the said application was made and filed, and William H. Penhallagon, one of the subscribing witnesses to said last will and testament, appeared, and being duly sworn, testified that the annexed instrument on the day of the date thereof, to wit; on the 18th day of October, 1880, at the town of Linden, Iowa County, Wisconsin, was signed and sealed by the said Louis Poquette, the testator. That the said testator then and there published and declared the said instrument to be his last will and testament in the presence of said William H. Penhallagon and of John Tregoning, the other subscribing witness; and that the said subscribing witnesses did then and there, in the presence of the said testator and of each other severally subscribe said instrument as attesting witnesses thereto at his request, and that at the time of the execution and publication of the said instrument, as aforesaid, the said Louis Poquette was of sound, disposing mind and memory, of full age to execute a will, and was not under any sestraint? to the knowledge, information or belief of the said witness. And upon said proof, it appearing satisfactorily to this court, that the said last will and testament is duly executed according to law. That the same is genuine and valid and that the said testator at time of executing the same was in all respects competent to dispose of his estate; It is therefore ordered that the said last will and testament, and the proofs and examinations taken in respects to the same, be recorded; and that the said last will and testament be admitted to probate, and that the same be, and hereby is established as a valid will. In testimony whereof, we have caused the seal of our county Court for the County of Iowa and state of Wisconsin to be hereunto affixed. Witness Honorable John T.
