Pvt Michael Walters  Company “C” 19th Regiment,Infantry, Wisconsin Volunteers. (Wisconsin has 19th records) Michael, has a military headstone provided by WH Cross, Lee Massachusets, Feb24,1888. Death: 12 May 1888 Black River Falls , Jackson County,Wisconsin.63 yrs old Burial: Original Riverside Cemetery, Maple Street ,section 8, plot 551 , Black River Falls, Wisconsin, DIRECTIONS: Come in from Maple Street, center of grave yard entrance and the paved path is over to the right one path just before a curve. There is a tree 8 inches from it. The marker is a small military Civil War type furnished by the Army. I have photo's of the grave .The stone is in bad shape. Marvin Wayne Walters and cousin Gary Lee Rhead went to Black River Falls Wisconsin, Riverside Cemetery, YR 2015 and cleaned Michael's marker. The writing was starting to fade and covered in moss. The cemetery is in excellent condition. NOTE !!! SON BORN: (6 Mar 1865, Chicago,Illinois. Julius H Walters . Mother to Julius, Anna Rhirnus “Walters” Birth not documented as of this date nor marriage. Michael, Anna, and their son Julius moved to Cataract, Wisconsin after Civil War Service,29 April, 1965. Michael Jean Walter ,enlisted Civil War1862. Mustered out on 29 Apr 1865. and moved to Cataract,Wis. This will show what Michael was doing in Cataract ,Wisconsin.........1865 to 1879 approx. George Walters on his own sheet is thought to be a brother and lived in Cataract/Little Falls, Wisconsin. Being proved out at this time. Library,BRF, Wis. They are located in the History Room.
