She had retired in her usual health and died about 11 o'clock of apoplexy. The funeral services were held on Saturday forenoon at the German Reformed Church, Rev. Jacob Stucki officiating. There was a large attendance of sympathizing friends at her funeral. Internment was made at Riverside Cemetery. Mrs. Hubert was born in Germany on June 23, 1845, the daugther of Mr. and Mrs. Janke. She came to Wisconsin from her native land in 1873 and took up her residence in the City of Sparta. She resided there until 1874 when she was married to Jacob Hubert and the same year they came to the town of Albion in this county. Mr. Hubert was engaged in farming and they resided on their farm for many years, developing a nice property. Mr. Hubert died on April 13, 1911. In 1915, Mrs. Hubert moved to this city where she had since made her home. She is survived by six daughters, four sons and one step-son. Her children are Fred Hubert of Squaw Creek, Mrs. Augusta Stoker of Melrose, Henry Hubert of Hixton, Mrs. Clara Lewis of Denver, Wyoming, Mrs. Huldah Dietrich of Richland, Washington, Jacob Hubert of Black River Falls, William Hubert of Casper, Wyoming, Mrs. Emelie Hoagenson of Irving, Mrs. Minnie Kimball, of Disco and Julius and Tillie of this city. All her children were present at her funeral excepting Mrs. Dietrich of Richland, Washington and William Hubert of Casper, Wyoming. She is also survived by a sister, Mrs. Julius Mesner of Warrens, 37 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Among other relatives and friends who came to attend her funeral were her sister, Mrs. Julius Mesner of Warrens, Mrs. August Janke, a sister-in-law of Sparta, and four nieces, Mrs. August Friske and Mrs. Amelia Neuman of Sparta, Mrs. Clara Bunde of Warrens and Mrs. Milton Pitts of Millston. Mrs. Hubert was highly esteemed by her many friends of Albion and this city, residing in this community nearly a half century. She was always a kind friend and neighbor, ever ready to do her part in assisting others and living concientiously and industriously. She was a devoted wife and mother and gave to her family circle her constant endeavors for the welfare of its members. She was long a member of the German Reformed Church, a faithful attendant at its services and an earnest worshiper in her faith. Her children and other relatives have the sincere sympathy of all in the community in her passing to her reward.
