Leon S. Randals died at a Madison hospital Wednesday March 17, 1937 as the 
result of a stroke.  He had been ill for the past 7 years.  He bore his 
sufferings patiently during his long illness and was a loving husband and 
father.  He was 51 years 10 months and 17 days of age at the time of his 
death.  

Funeral services were held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church in 
Hixton, conducted by Rev. P.F. Schroeder.  Interment was made in the Hixton 
Cemetery.  Mrs. Jos. J. Kislinger and children came from Merrill for the 
service.  Lee Casper Leonard Casper, Claire Wallace, Geo. Downer Oswald 
Schnick and Jeff Jarrett were pallbearers.  Flower bearers were Miss Hazel 
Knutson, Mrs. Leonard Casper, Mrs. Lee Casper and Mrs. Oswald Schnick.

Leon, son of Samuel and Helen Randals was born in the township of Alma, on 
April 20, 1885.  When still a small boy, his parents moved to Hixton.  He was 
married January 11, 1911 to Ina Hulett.  They spent a year in Waterloo, Iowa 
and then returned to Hixton which has since been their home.  Three children 
were born to this union, Josephine, Archie and Ruth.  

Besides his widow, two daughters and son, he is mourned by three brothers, Lew 
and Frank of Hixton and Basil of Renville, Minnesota.  Three sisters, Mrs. 
Harve Getman, Mrs. Paul Casper, both of Hixton and Mrs. Henry Hubert of 
Waukegan, Illinois.  He also leaves a host of relatives and friends.

The sympathy of many friends is extended to the family in their time of sorrow.
