Miss Lackey is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Lackey of this village and is a very talented musician. She graduated from the Waterloo High School with the class of 1907, and attended Lawrence College, graduating from there in 1912. Since that time she has been teaching music in this village. The groom is one of Waterloo's energetic young businessmen. He is also a graduate of the Waterloo High School with the class of 1909. Later he attended the Bliss School of Electrical Engineering in Washington, D.C. and received a fine position at Parkersburg, Iowa after which he was appointed superintendent of the Water and Light Commission of this village. On Tuesday evening they were given a reception at the Methodist church by the members. The young couple have the best wishes of the Democrat and their many friends.
