Funeral today. Mrs. Anna Miller, nee-Hoffenbauer died at the home of her son Frank of the town of Waterloo on last Tuesday at three o'clock pm at the age of 85 years-11 months and 4 days. The deceased was born in Rienburg, Germany on September 25th, 1825 and came to America in 1851 residing in the city of Milwaukee. Three years later she was married to John Miller and after residing in Wauwatosa for three years they moved on a farm 2 1/2 miles south of Hubbleton where she lived up to the time of her death with the exception of six years which she spent with her daughter Mrs. Mary Gerbig of Camp Douglas, and three with her daughter Mrs. Theresa Dauffenbach of this place. Her husband followed her in the valley of death in October 1885, and since the death of her husband she managed the farm work until a few years ago when the farm was sold to her son Frank. The deceased was the mother of a large family consisting of 11 children - three daughters - Mrs. mary Gerbig of Camp Douglas, Mrs. Wm Lahm of Hustler, Mrs. Theresa Dauffenbach of Reeseville, and three sons - John of Milwaukee, Joseph of Hayward, Il., Frank of the town of Waterloo, and Henry of the town of Portland. The above named children together with her sister, Mrs. Theresa Myers of Random Lake, 27 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren are left to survive her. Those of her children that preceded her in death are Mrs. Anna Christopher of Milwaukee, Mrs. Thomas Yauman of the town of Lowell and George of Unity, Wi., and one daughter who died in infancy. The funeral was held today from the home of her son Frank. The remains were entered in the Island Cemetery in the town of Waterloo.
